Valerie L. Grindle learned how to run a successful business at an early age working in her family’s food distribution company. Today, she draws upon an extensive background in business from start-ups to large-cap international companies. Valerie utilizes a collaborative model to assist her clients in defining and achieving their goals within today’s ever-changing global business environment.
Through the years Valerie has led companies through numerous types of transitions including positioning firms for high growth, juggling management and board changes, navigating turnarounds and legal challenges, designing streamlined processes and systems, and negotiating acquisitions, divestitures and debt/equity restructurings. She has served as a CFO, COO, CRO, CEO, board member and consultant in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, distribution, retail, construction, telecommunications, software development and mining. Valerie also held senior executive positions with two Fortune 100 firms: Telecommunications, Inc. (TCI) and Tenneco Inc.
Valerie holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Colorado State University and an M.S.M with a concentration in finance from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University and is a graduate of Merger Week at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Indiana and as a Realtor™ in Arizona. She is a former member of the Financial Executives Institute, Board of Advisors for Corporate Controller Magazine and the Krannert School Alumni Association Board of Directors. Additionally, she is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma honor society and was a Charter Fellow in the Women in Cable Foundation Leadership Institute. Valerie and her husband Mike are both licensed pilots and certified scuba divers.
